All the guides used by Chattahoochee river outfitters have been fly fishermen for most all of their lives and have a love and passion for Atlanta fly fishing. There is a special sense of accomplishment for our guides to provide our clients with an enjoyable day on the water and the chance of catching a fish of a lifetime, whether it is the first fish, the biggest fish or one of the most beautifully colored fish they have ever caught and released.
I am a custom fishing rod builder and antique rod restorer. I've had many requests to take my custom rod/restored Bamboo rod clients fishing. One business has led to an additional one.
We have custom built Stout Rod fly rods and Ross Fly reels for our clients if they do not have their own at their disposal.
Our choices of boats are varied. They range from a jet boat, skiff style drift boat, to a dual chambered raft. Depending on the trip and location, waders are optional, and for the business person who wants to learn to fly fish, or just escape the grind, we can tailor our trips so they do not have to bring any gear with them as they travel.
